The PSB engineering team conducted a series of laboratory tests on brake disc rotors. CAD models of the products are also created to pass digital simulation tests generated by advanced softwares.
Extensive research on heat transfer within the design concept has been carried out using engineering simulation software. The relationship between convection, radiation, surface area, and weight is used to determine the best design to maximize heat dissipation and strength while minimizing weight.
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations are performed to study the airflow through the rotor surface and cuts. Various contours were tested to determine the effect of asymmetric holes and optimize the cooling effect of the airflow on the surface.
After the design is completed, we verify the samples through machine tests. After confirming that there are no errors, the professionals will personally test and feel the user experience. We try to find out more riding conditions and improve them.
